Sea King HAS 5 XZ575

Pictured at Kiddlington Airport  Westland Sea King H A S MK 5 c/n wa 843. She made her first flight on 8th September 1976 and was then delivered to the Fleet Air Arm as a Sea King H A S Mk 2 the aircraft was converted to a HAS MK 5U in 1994. The aircraft joined the Aeroplane & Armament Evaluation Establishment in four years later, the helicopter became part of Defence Evaluation and Research Agency and was subsequently transferred to Qinetq in 2001.

The aircraft was used in 2006, for experimental work with the Carson Main blade UOR, development that was used with the Commando Helicopter Force Sea King H C Mk 4+ and was withdraw from use in 2014 and was placed in storage the helicopter is currently up for sale by Tender.
