Today the 9th January 2016, is the 75th Anniversary of the first flight of Bomber Commands Legendary Avro Lancaster Bomber which was also operated by Coastal Command and Commonwealth Air Forces during and after the Second World War.

To mark the anniversary I am posting a series of images of the last two flying Lancaster’s

So lest not forget all those valiant young men who gave their lives in these machines during WWII in order to defend the Freedom that we have to day, and let their sacrifice not be in vain.
