Meteor Restoration continues on the old Speke Airport Apron

Speke Aerodrome Heritage Group, are proceeding with the restoration of the Armstrong Whitworth built Gloster Meteor F Mk 8 / TT(F) Mk 8 WH 291 a second Rolls Royce Derwent engine is due to be delivered to Speke and fitted in October. The group have secured two replacement nacelle to replace the originals which damaged during the last dismantling at Aeroventure at Doncaster The engine nacelle tail cones have now been re-fitted and the aircraft cannon bay doors should be refitted by Christmas this year.
