Patrouille Suisse celebrates its 50th anniversary

db20070707_4681_1The Patrouille Suisse is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, the Swiss Air Force Aerobatic display team, with their with six Northrop F-5E Tiger II will be in the UK for the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford in July. Patrouille Suisse will be disbanded by early 2016 due to the withdrawal of the F-5 from Swiss Air Force service so this is likely to be the last time the team will be in the UK before they are disbanded. The Team which was formed in 1964, initially flying six Hawker Hunter F Mk 58 fighter which they flew until 1995 when they where replaced by the F-5E Tiger IIs.
